Laura is based in Madrid!

Does she speak English and Spanish? Yes! She speaks both natively, hence the strange surname combination. A minor inconvenience when it comes to Spanish paperwork but very helpful when reading scripts!

She studied animation in Madrid at ESDIP and then ventured into Italy to take a stab at fine art at the Florence Academy of Art. That experience gave her strong anatomy skills and an understanding of balance in a pose and a decent level of spoken Italian.

After a few years abroad she took a Storyboarding Masters at Lightbox Academy under Paco Sáez and immediately dove into the world of animation at full throttle. Storyboarding is where she feels happiest in.

Since then she has worked as a freelance artist for various studios (see some of the clients below). Some live action storyboards for stunt shots and vfx scenes and others boarding for animation projects using 2D/3D techniques or ad campaigns telling compelling stories.
